The well-known German tuning studio Posaidon presented a charged sports car Mercedes-AMG S63 2018. According to the studio, the novelty was practically equal to the well-known super-hybrid sports car Project One. The refinement of the biturbo V8 led to an increase in power, the engineers increased the displacement from 5.5 liters to 6.3 liters. The turbocharger, the electronic engine control unit were also revised and a completely new radiator was installed. In addition to the named, the steel cylinder bushings, the fuel intake system, the main bearings were modified, the valve springs were reinforced and the 7-speed automatic transmission was revised.
As a result of this refinement and tuning of the Mercedes-AMG S63, the output of the new 6.3-liter V8 engine is 1,020 hp, and the maximum torque has increased to 1,400 Nm. It is worth recalling that the usual characteristics of the base 2018 Mercedes-AMG S64 are 585 horsepower and 900 Nm of maximum torque. The modified sports car can accelerate from zero to the first 100 km / h on the speedometer in 2.9 seconds, which is 1 second faster than the normal version of the car. The maximum speed of a charged Mercedes-AMG S63 2018 is 350 km / h and is electronically limited.
An interesting fact is that this modification of the Mercedes-AMG S63 will now be available for other cars of the brand equipped with the same 5.0 liter V8 biturbo engine. According to the tuning studio, this modification can already be installed on the E63, CLS63, GLE63, G63 and ML63 models. Despite the non-standard solution and unprecedented power of the S63, there are already at least a dozen buyers of this package, the price of such a pleasure has not yet been named.
