As already mentioned, Toyota not only follows the latest in the automotive industry, holds the first place, but also a well-known car manufacturer. Vios is one of the updated models from Toyota, and we'll talk about it.
Exterior Toyota Vios V
Japanese cars from Toyota are always recognizable not only by the famous emblem, but also by their streamlined body shapes. In Western Europe, this model is known as the Toyota Yaris Sedan.
The new Vios 2015 is the third generation of this model, which is not at all similar to the previous generation. The designers completely changed both the front and rear of the car. Seven trim levels of the model will be available to buyers: S A / T, G A / T, TRD Sportivo, E A / T, E M / T, J A / T, J M / T.
The front end of the Toyota Vios has become more austere. The headlights of the car have become elongated on the sides of the radiator grill. In the previous model, they were oval and did not look very nice. The S A / T and TRD Sportivo trims are fitted with headlamps with a black background to give the Vios a more distinctive look, the G A / T trims are equipped with spotlights with a chrome backdrop, the rest of the trims come with reflector headlamps.
The familiar Vios grille has changed its shape, less than the usual one, thereby becoming a continuation of the bumper. In other words, the grille has become non-removable and non-replaceable, if damaged, then you will have to change along with the bumper or give the entire front plastic part of the Vios for repair. The radiator cooling holes are separated by two inserts, between which the Toyota emblem is placed. The inserts are available in black chrome for S A / T, regular chrome for G A / T, dark black for TRD Sportivo and body color with chrome lines for E and J trims.
An air intake was made in the lower part of the Vios bumper, a plastic insert divided into two parts, the upper part is less open, designed for additional air supply to cool the engine. The bottom is more open, with three horizontal dividers across the entire insert. Fog lights on the lower bumper are available for the S and TRD Sportivo.
The bumper of the TRD Sportivo configuration is slightly different from the Vios standard, the model was designed for a sportier audience of buyers, only in this configuration, daytime running lights were located in the lower part of the bumper. It is also only in this model that the manufacturer from the factory installs a sports body kit around the Vios circle, and an additional Sportivo emblem is installed on the rear. The exhaust tips are made of steel. Inside, special floor mats with TRD Sportivo lettering.
Thus, we can say that the designers completely changed the front part. The windshield and wipers remain the same as in the previous model. For E, S and G trim levels, the wipers are equipped with a delay timer.
The side of the Toyota Vios remains the same in shape as in the previous generation. The side mirrors have become slightly elongated, the floor of the mirror housing is painted in body color, the second lower part is black. In the E, S and G trim levels, the mirrors are equipped with turn signal repeaters, with an electric drive for adjustment. For J A / T and J M / T trim levels, only manually adjustable mirrors are available. On the front fenders, turn repeaters are also installed at the top.
Vios door handles are painted to match the car body, only chrome-plated door handles are installed in the S version.
The rear of the Vios has also been redesigned, with the taillights more elongated along the rear fender. The trunk lid is not to say that it is large, it would be desirable to make it wider. The partition on the boot lid, under the inscriptions and the emblem, is painted in the body color. The S is equipped with a black chrome baffle, for the G - the usual chrome. In the lower part of the bumper, stop repeaters were placed, leaving them the same shape as in the previous generation.
The Toyota Vios will be available on the market in the following colors:

As for the body of Toyota Vios, I would like to say that it could have been made wider, would have increased cornering stability and the ratio of length to width would be combined. The gaps on the doors and the bonnet are adjusted to 5 mm, but it could have been made smaller, all the same Toyota has experience in this.

For the first time sitting in a Toyota Vios, you will immediately feel that this is not a Camry or a Land Cruiser; in terms of comfort, a lot is worth improving. It's worth noting straight away that the interior has changed, as has the front fascia of the Vios.
Immediately, what catches the eye is the front panel, the designers made it classic and the instrument panel was placed behind the steering wheel, and not in the middle of the panel, above the multimedia system, as it was in the previous generation.
Not to say that the control panel and the Vios console itself are stuffed to the maximum, but still, there are pluses. In the S A / T model, the engine Start / Stop button is available, for other configurations only with a key. The Toyota Vios multimedia panel may differ, so for S A / T and G A / T, a multi information display is installed, the eco meter is available for all models except E M / T and J M / T.
On the filling, the climate control is installed in S A / T and G A / T trim levels. Remote keyless entry is fitted to all Vios trim levels, and is a standard feature, as are the USB / AUX connectors. As for the audio system itself, the TRD Sportivo and G A / T configurations differ most of all, is there a multimedia system with touch 7? display that supports SD cards, there is an HDMI output, Bluetooth. All Toyota Vios have 4 speakers, except for J A / T and J M / T, they only have two speakers. A standard radio tape recorder with a radio and a disc player will not produce high-quality sound. Under the multimedia system, there are knobs for controlling the temperature and air direction in the cabin.
The steering wheel is very important, in most Toyota Vios it is without multifunctional control, and only for S A / T and G A / T trim levels this function is available. At first glance, it is an ordinary steering wheel, but when you drive a couple of times, you realize that the steering wheel is spherical and very unpleasant, it sits uncomfortably in your hand during maneuvers, and it feels hard to the touch, like in a retro car. The Vios' power steering responds slowly to steering, which also affects comfort and speed.
As already mentioned, the Toyota Vios dashboard was installed behind the steering wheel, it does not differ in special features. There is a speedometer in the middle, a tachometer to the left, and a fuel level sensor to the right of the speedometer. At first glance, the edging of the devices is made of aluminum, but when you look closely, it uses ordinary plastic, painted in gray. The mileage and tachometer figures themselves are not melted, as they often do now, but a previously prepared substrate is substituted.
The interior color of Toyota Vios is varied and depends on the configuration, for example, the front console is dark black for SA / T trim levels, matt black for TRD Sportivo, metallic color for GA / T, EA / T, EM / T trim levels, and black for JA / T and JM / T trim levels.
The upholstery of Toyota Vios doors at first glance, like the upholstery of the front console, are made of leather, but at first glance, as they say, it is deceptive, all material is made of plastic, even stitched material, or rather the thread itself is squeezed out of plastic. Thus, it becomes clear that cheap materials have been used for the Vios interior upholstery. By color, the door side panels are available in dark black for S equipment, metallic for GA / T equipment, matt black for Vios TRD Sportivo, black or cream for EA / T, EM / T equipment and only black for JA / T, JM / T trim levels.
The power window control buttons are chrome for S A / T, G A / T and TRD Sportivo, for the rest the buttons are set to match the door trim color.
The upholstery of Toyota Vios seats remains quite interesting, in all models the upholstery is fabric, and only in TRD Sportivo they are upholstered in leather, with an embroidered Sportivo emblem on each seat. The two front sports seats are fitted with S A / T. The seats are adjusted mechanically, handles on the sides. Between the seats, a palm rest was placed with a compartment for storing small items, all also made of plastic.
In all configurations of Toyota Vios, the developers have included electric windows. The color of the door handles is matched to the color of the door trim, but for S A / T plastic ones are installed in the color of aluminum, for G A / T the handles are plastic chrome-plated. The interior itself is varied in color, for the S A / T, TRD Sportivo, J A / T and J M / T trim levels, the interior is made in black. For Vios E A / T, E M / T, G A / T, the complete sets can be made in both black and beige.
In terms of noise isolation, the Vios leaves much to be desired, since when driving there is a feeling that there is simply no noise isolation, everything is buzzing and you can hear the sound outside and the noise of the engine. Looking at the place where the brake and gas pedal are located, imperfections are visible. Behind the pedals, you can see not only noise isolation, but also the metal of the Vios body itself.
Cup holders are located on the sides of the front console, the Vios designers decided not to save on this, except for the side ones, there is also a cup holder in the doors.
Vios 5, safety in the car
Vios does not differ in a special set of security functions. The standard set includes SRS airbags, central locking, heated rear window, seat belts for the front and rear seats, and an immobilizer.
A reversing camera is only available for Vios TRD Sportivo equipment. Auxiliary systems ABS, EBD and BA are available for Vios S A / T, G A / T, E A / T and E M / T trim levels. Stop repeater on the rear window is installed on all Vios except J A / T and J M / T.

The gearbox is available, both automatic and mechanical, so the S, G, TRD Sportivo models are equipped with only an automatic gearbox, but in the E and J models, you can choose a mechanical or automatic. Regardless of the gearbox, the Vios will be front-wheel drive.
The brakes on the Vios also need to be tweaked, and when you press the pedal, you feel a delay in the response of the car. On the S and G configurations, disc brakes are installed in the front and rear, on the rest there are disc brakes in front, and drum brakes behind. All models except S have 15? light-alloy wheels, on the S model 16? light alloy.
The top-of-the-range Toyota Vios is $ 20,700, the TRD Sportivo trim is $ 19,300, and the base Vios is $ 15,600.
As a conclusion, I would like to say that for its class, the Toyota Vios turned out to be not very bad, I would like to improve noise insulation and add a little comfort to the cabin by increasing the standard configuration.
