As it became known, the company Bugatti announced the production of a new all-electric crossover. According to the publication Automobile, the new electric crossover will be developed by the German engineering bureau Edag. As for the power plant, Croatian engineers from Rimac are already working on it. Finally, to bring it all together, the electric car will go to the plant in Graz, where it will be handled by the Austrian company Magna Steyr.

Earlier there was information that the new electric car will inherit the characteristics of the Urus, with a 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo petrol engine. This option is installed on the Raging Bull package. Now we are talking about a completely new electrical installation. It was thanks to Porsche, which owns a 10% stake in Rimac, to attract Croatian engineers to develop such a unit. Taking into account developments and other points, it is likely that it will be the same unit as in the charged Pininfarina Battista. On board the electric car there are 4 electric motors, one for each wheel. They are synchronized with each other using the on-board computer. The total power of the electric motors is 1900 horses, and the maximum torque is 2300 Nm. Coming from such characteristics, the traction power of the battery is 120 kWh.

Given that the Bugatti was the most powerful and fastest, the total power of the electric car should overcome or be compared with the 2000 horsepower mark. In the event that Rimac did not develop a transmission for the new electric car, it was agreed to develop the Porsche 918 Spyder receivers, as well as Lamborghini engineers. Regardless of the scenario, the manufacturer plans to sell about 600 copies of electric crossovers a year.
