Jaguar plans to launch the F-Type series with an updated British design, redesigning both the exterior and interior. Coupe and convertible versions will go on sale.
After Jaguar was recognized as the World Automotive Designer for 2015, manufacturers decided to seize the chance and release a new design. So, according to the manufacturer, in the spring of 2016 the new Jaguar F-Type British Design Edition will be presented for sale.
The special version will be available to the buyer in two bodies, coupe and convertible. In addition to the exterior design, manufacturers have added many innovations inside and under the hood. The heart of the F-Type will be a 3.0 liter V6 gasoline engine. with a capacity of 380 h.p. and a torque of 460 Nm. In addition to the engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission with four-wheel drive will be installed.
According to Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar, creating the British Edition Design Package will give the F-Type a different perspective and show its full power.
Consider the exterior changes, the familiar F-Type features combined with the Sport Design add-on that comes standard, giving the car a sleek new body style. A front black splitter has also been added, along the perimeter of the entire body, an aerodynamic body kit is installed to match the body color. The rear spoiler will only be available for the coupe body. 20? cast wheels painted in dark gray with British Design Edition end caps in the center. The brake pads are painted red or black. New chrome badges are installed on the front grille and on the rear of the boot lid. The manufacturer does not disclose other details, but clarifies that this is not a complete list yet. The new F-Type emblems remind you not only of the queen and country, as it is a British design, the emblem substrate is in the color of the British flag.
The interior of the F-Type is upholstered in leather with stitching matching the colors of the British flag. Updates are also recognized in the headrests with a corresponding design, the front sports seats with the possibility of electronic adjustment. The front fascia is made of carbon fiber, which gives an even sportier look to the cabin.
In the middle of the F-Type panel, the user will have an accessible touchscreen information display, an audio system with a 380W amplifier, and 10 speakers are installed in the cabin. At the request of the buyer, a 770W amplifier and 12 speakers can be installed. Both audio systems and amplifiers are compatible with smartphone control applications. Thanks to this application, the owner of the F-Type British Design Edition will be able to remotely check information about the car, see the remaining fuel in the tank, see the location of the car on a map or turn on climate control.
The cost of such pleasure was announced the other day, so the F-Type in the coupe will cost $ 110,591, and for the Convertible form factor the price will be $ 118,184.
