KrAZ has recently presented two new armored cars that will be put into assembly line production for further supplies to the armed forces of Ukraine and the National Guard.
Military vehicles Kuga and Spartan will be made at the plant in Kremenchug as soon as possible in order to deliver this equipment as soon as possible to the ATO zone. The Kremenchug plant received the license thanks to the Canadian-Emirates company called Streit Group.

A small armored personnel carrier KRAZ Cougar (KrAZ Kuga) is developed on the chassis of the Toyota Land Cruiser 79. This transport for the military is intended for battles in the city. The car has 240 horsepower, which produces a 4-liter Toyota turbodiesel engine. Also, the military will have access to the Toyota 4,5i unit, which has 218 hp. The maximum speed of the Ukrainian (or rather Canadian) Kuga armored car is 105 km per hour. The wheelbase is 3,180 mm and the overall length is 5,352 mm. Clearance - 300 mm. The volume of the tank is 180 liters. KrAZ Kuga can be equipped with various rotary turrets, as well as weapons: machine guns 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.

The technical characteristics of the KRAZ Spartan (KrAZ Spartan) may be more surprising than the previous armored personnel carrier. It was built on the basis of the Ford F550 chassis. The wheelbase was 3,576 mm, the length was 6,020 mm, and the ground clearance was 510 mm. Turbodiesel engine - 6.7 liter V8. Capable of delivering 400 hp. power. The Spartan has a top speed of 110 km / h. The volume of the tank is 257 liters.
General Director of AvtoKrAZ Roman Chernyak says that the planned deliveries will be carried out in August 2014. How much they are going to produce KrAZ Spartan and Kuga for the Ukrainian military has not yet been reported, as well as their price.
