The next version of Land Rover Discovery may get a special off-road modification designed specifically for overcoming extreme off-road. Recently, an interview with John Edwards, the head of one of the most famous and reputable tuning houses in the world, has appeared on the network, who hinted that the next version of Land Rover Discovery can get a special off-road modification designed specifically for overcoming extreme off-road conditions.

Presumably, the new version of the SUV will get the SVX prefix in the name, and its official debut is scheduled for the end of next year or a year and a half after the official debut of the standard modification of the updated Discovery.

Automotive experts expect that the novelty may receive a number of advanced systems, which were shown as part of the concept version of the "Vision Concept", which debuted worldwide in mid-2014. One of the so-called technologies can be the "transparent hood" system, which assumes the presence of several cameras located in the radiator grille of an SUV, transmitting the road surface to a special projection screen. In addition, the car can be equipped with laser sensors that allow you to display a detailed diagram with the relief of the surface in front of the vehicle.

Note that at the moment Land Rover has started the first tests of the future Discovery, which will presumably become lighter and somewhat larger than its predecessor, and will also receive a completely redesigned interior.
